Millions of families around us go the entire year without a single piece of beef or mutton on their plate. Like the thirsty bird waiting for rain, they look forward to only one day — the day of Eid ul-Adha. Yet in many remote, poverty-stricken areas, only a handful of Qurbanis take place. As a result, even on Eid day, many poor people are left without meat. আমাদের চারপাশে এমন লক্ষ লক্ষ পরিবার আছে, সারা বছর যাদের পাতে এক টুকরো গরুর বা ছাগলের গোশত জোটে না। চাতক পাখির মতো তারা পথ চেয়ে থাকে কেবল কুরবানীর ঈদের দিনটির জন্য। কিন্তু ভাগ্যের নির্মম পরিহাসে, এমন অনেক দারিদ্র্যপীড়িত প্রত্যন্ত অঞ্চল আছে যেখানে হাতেগোনা কয়েকটি মাত্র কুরবানী হয়। ফলে ঈদের দিনও অনেক অভাবী মানুষ গোশত থেকে বঞ্চিত থাকেন।

To bridge this gap and ensure a fair distribution of Qurbani meat, The Siren has organised "Qurbani for All 2026". একটু ভেবে দেখুন, শহরের একটি বহুতল ভবনে যতগুলো কুরবানী হয়, দেশের অনেক গ্রামের পুরো এলাকাতেও তার অর্ধেক পশু জবাই হয় না। এই বৈষম্য দূর করতে এবং কুরবানীর গোশতের সুষম বণ্টন নিশ্চিত করতে "দ্যা সাইরেন" আয়োজন করেছে— "সবার জন্য কুরবানী ২০২৬"।

لَن يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَٰكِن يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ
سورة الحج، ٢٢:٣٧"Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you." — [Surah al-Hajj, 22:37] "ওই পশুসমূহের মাংস ও রক্ত আল্লাহর কাছে পৌঁছায় না; কিন্তু তাঁর কাছে পৌঁছায় তোমাদের তাকওয়া।" — [সূরা আল-হাজ্জ, ২২:৩৭]
فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْقَانِعَ وَالْمُعْتَرَّ
سورة الحج، ٢٢:٣٦"And when they have fallen on their sides, eat of them and feed the needy and the beggar." — [Surah al-Hajj, 22:36] "অতঃপর যখন ওগুলো জবাই করে ফেলা হয়, তখন তোমরা তা থেকে খাও এবং ভিক্ষুক ও বঞ্চিতদেরকেও খাওয়াও।" — [সূরা আল-হাজ্জ, ২২:৩৬]
فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْبَائِسَ الْفَقِيرَ
سورة الحج، ٢٢:٢٨"Then eat thereof and feed the miserable and poor." — [Surah al-Hajj, 22:28] "অতএব, তোমরা তা থেকে খাও এবং দুঃস্থ-মিসকিনদেরকেও খাওয়াও।" — [সূরা আল-হাজ্জ, ২২:২৮]
According to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, it is recommended to divide the Qurbani meat into three parts — one third for oneself and family, one third for relatives and friends, and one third for the poor and needy. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Eat, preserve, and give to the poor." [Sahih Muslim] রাসূলুল্লাহ (সা.)-এর সুন্নাহ অনুযায়ী কুরবানির গোশত তিন ভাগে ভাগ করা মুস্তাহাব — এক-তৃতীয়াংশ নিজের ও পরিবারের জন্য, এক-তৃতীয়াংশ আত্মীয়-স্বজন ও বন্ধুদের জন্য, এবং এক-তৃতীয়াংশ গরিব-মিসকিনদের জন্য। রাসূলুল্লাহ (সা.) বলেছেন: "কুলু ওয়া তাজাওওয়াদু ওয়াদ্দাখিরু" — "তোমরা খাও, সংরক্ষণ কর এবং গরিবদের দান কর।" [সহীহ মুসলিম]
We have identified extremely poor families in Jaldhaka (Nilphamari) and Taraganj (Rangpur) whose main livelihoods are farming and day labour. With potato and corn prices falling and work scarce, they cannot afford to perform Qurbani themselves — nor can they buy meat from the market on Eid day. Through local volunteers, we have identified 100+ families who need to be reached. আমরা জলঢাকা (নীলফামারী) ও তারাগঞ্জ (রংপুর)-এর কিছু অতি দরিদ্র পরিবারের জন্য কোরবানি দেওয়ার নিয়ত করেছি। এই এলাকার মানুষের প্রধান পেশা কৃষি ও দিনমজুরি। আলু-ভুট্টার দাম পড়তির মুখে, কাজ নেই অনেকের। কোরবানির ঈদে তারা যেমন নিজেদের গরু কাটতে পারেন না, তেমনি বাজারে গোশত কিনেও খেতে পারেন না। স্থানীয় স্বেচ্ছাসেবকদের মাধ্যমে আমরা শতাধিক পরিবার চিহ্নিত করেছি, যাদের কাছে পৌঁছানো জরুরি।
