This elderly couple lives in Saidpur, Nilphamari. They have no one to rely on. They live in a polythene and bamboo-fence shelter on land given by relatives. A few kind-hearted neighbours have let them raise some goats to get by. নীলফামারীর সৈয়দপুরের এই বৃদ্ধ দম্পতি। তাদের কোনো সহায় নেই। আত্মীয়দের দেয়া জমিতে পলিথিন আর বেড়ার ঘরে তাদের বাস। আশেপাশের কিছু দয়াদ্র মানুষ কিছু ছাগল পোষতে দিয়েছেন তাদের।
The husband had been living with untreated hernia, unable to do heavy work due to constant pain. They did not even have a cot to sleep on. তিনি দীর্ঘদিন ধরে হার্নিয়ার চিকিৎসা না করে কষ্ট পেয়ে আসছিলেন এবং ব্যথার কারণে ভারী কাজ করতে পারতেন না। তাদের ঘরে শোয়ার মতো একটা চৌকি পর্যন্ত ছিল না।

Seeing their helpless situation, The Siren completed emergency housing construction for this couple in March 2026. To finish the work quickly, we spent BDT 82,000 from our own funds. They now have a proper roof over their heads. তাদের এই অসহায় অবস্থা দেখে 'The Siren'-এর পক্ষ থেকে গত মার্চ মাসে জরুরি ভিত্তিতে একটি ঘরের কাজ সম্পন্ন করা হয়েছে। এই কাজ দ্রুত শেষ করার জন্য আমরা নিজস্ব তহবিল থেকে ৮২,০০০/- টাকা ব্যয় করা হয়েছে। এখন তাদের মাথার উপরে একটি ছাদ আছে।
After the home was built, the elderly man decided not to proceed with the hernia surgery. The full BDT 82,000 raised through a private contribution was therefore used entirely for the housing construction — giving this couple a safe, proper home. ঘর নির্মাণের পর বয়স্ক ব্যক্তি হার্নিয়ার অপারেশন না করানোর সিদ্ধান্ত নেন। ফলে ব্যক্তিগত অনুদানে প্রাপ্ত পুরো ৮২,০০০ টাকাই এই দম্পতির ঘর নির্মাণে ব্যয় হয়েছে — এবং তারা এখন একটি নিরাপদ, সুন্দর ঘরে বাস করছেন।
Alhamdulillah — BDT 82,000 was raised through a private contribution and used entirely to build this couple a proper home. The campaign is now closed. আলহামদুলিল্লাহ — ব্যক্তিগত অনুদানে ৮২,০০০ টাকা সংগৃহীত হয়েছে এবং পুরো অর্থ এই দম্পতির জন্য একটি ঘর নির্মাণে ব্যয় করা হয়েছে। প্রচারাভিযান এখন সমাপ্ত।
